The new information backs up rumors we've already heard as well, so while nothing is certain at this stage, we can start taking the speculation about a $399 price and March launch window a little more seriously.
New Leaks Hint At IPhone SE 2 Price And Launch Date

As first reported by 9to5Mac, a reference to three "iPhone xx" phones may hint at an updated iPhone SE. Three items under Apple's XCode development app list these unnamed "xx" iPhones, one of which includes an A10 processor, no FaceID feature and (unlike what other rumors below have speculated) no notch. Because the A10 processor was used in 2016's iPhone 7, these lower-tiered specs could point toward an updated iPhone SE 2.
If true, that means the updated phone would simply get a "specs upgrade" -- probably adding the better camera (with optical image stabilization and quad-tone flash) and maybe an A11 Fusion CPU found on the iPhone 8, in place of the 2015-era A9 chip that debuted on the iPhone 6S. And at the same entry-level price, Kuo also doesn't expect features like 3D Touch or wireless charging to be added.
Based on the newest leak from a German website allroundpc.com, it seems the Nothing Phone (1) is launching on July 21. This aligns with Carl Pei's announcement of the Nothing Phone (1) launching sometime in Summer 2022. Moreover, the leak also reveals that the Nothing Phone (1) could carry a price tag of somewhere around 500 Euros. This puts it strictly in the midrange category, wherein we have seen some flagship killer phones residing of late.
The Nothing Phone (1) leaks have painted a picture of a midrange device with no out-of-the-world features. In fact, a previous leak suggested the device to get a 6.4-inch OLED display with a refresh rate of 90Hz, a Snapdragon 778G chip at the helm of Nothing OS based on Android 12, and controlling a 50MP + 8MP + 2MP triple rear camera system; all backed by a 4500mAh battery. No details on the charging solution yet but Nothing has itself hinted at support for wireless charging.
Still, there's a chance Apple will be flexible on the price since the iPhone SE 3 has the potential to be one of its best-selling products. Analysts at JP Morgan Chase estimate the updated SE could attract "nearly 1.4 billion low- to mid-end Android phone and about 300 million older iPhone model users," Reuters reports(Opens in a new window).
This is great given that Apple is currently selling 6 different models across the globe. However, the technology firm aims at giving a smaller, palm friendly model at a reasonable price to loyal users. The latest models have all had a larger size and a higher price range. However, with new promising features such as a base model with 64 GB of the internal storage and an updated LCP antenna for better performance, it is only more likely to attract an audience who has been meaning to replace their older handset with a newer better model.
The rumor cemented the date further when TF international securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo published a post that hinted launch of an affordable SE 2 towards the end of Q1. Additionally, the note also talks about the launch of the brand-new iPad during the first half of 2020. Furthermore, an analyst from Barclays also hinted at a new iPhone coming out in the first half of 2020. With suppliers and manufacturers talking about a smaller iPhone version, the rumors of the launch have only become stronger.
However, if new reports and information are taken into account, Apple wants to stick to using the A10 which is a Fusion chip and can be adaptable on a need to run basis. With the core development team hinting at the features and operational model being similar to iPhone 7, the phone is most likely to have an A10 chip which is somewhat likely given that the organization intends to launch a lower budget product.
Given that the SE2 is not a flagship product and is only a re-modeled lower price version for users who want a better product, the expectations of newer features is relatively low. With the FACE id being knocked off to bring back the home button, it is only the form and factor which is getting a redesign to suit the customer-centric needs. With a due date of spring 2020, it may also possible that users will be able to charge their new iPhone SE 2 wirelessly using the fancy panel at the back. Reality or myth, we will find out together.
Obviously, there's no official information on the iPhone 15, but looking at the rumours and leaks and going by previous iPhone launches, you'd expect the iPhone 15 to be faster and smarter than the iPhone 14. But it looks as though you might have to splash out on the (potentially) pricey new iPhone 15 Ultra to get the rumoured periscope zoom and state-of-the-art A17 chip. Of course, there's plenty of time for more rumours and leaks to hit the internet which we'll be adding to this page as and when they arrive.
Let's move on to Google and Pixels! And no worries, these aren't another set of Pixel 7 references or renders. Instead, let's discuss the Pixel 6a which hasn't been on the leaks as much as its predecessors, at least for now. According to some Android Police Sources, the Pixel 6a and the Pixel Watch were recently spotted in a US carrier's inventory system. Starting off with the Watch, it appears under its leaked codenamed Rohan and it also says that it'll be available in 3 different color variants, including gray, black and gold. This rumor also mentions that it will arrive with 32 Gigs of storage space which is twice as much as some of the competition. This particular carrier also doesn't offer any other non-cellular smartwatches so, it's reasonable to conclude that the Pixel Watch will bring cellular capabilities. Moving on to the 6a, the codename Bluejay also appeared rocking three different color variants which are black, white and green. It also shows that all of these would bring 128 Gigs of storage. Sadly, these listings don't mention any dates for either of these they just hint that we're getting somewhat close to them. However, rumors point to the launch happening at Google I/O again.
And finally, for the hottest news today, let's talk about Apple and last minute event invites because we were almost ready to record with something else and then this popped up! Yes, a couple of hours ago, the company sent out press invitations for an event that will happen on Tuesday, March 8th at 10AM Pacific. The teaser shows an Apple logo with different colored layers and it has the text "Peek Performance". The problem is that most of the rumored products don't really sound like it. For example, we expect the new iPhone SE and a new iPad Air which are all ok. Maybe it's all about the new Macs. Going a bit into all of them, the iPhone SE is expected to bring the same design we got with the previous generation, aka the iPhone 8. But of course, it would bring updated internals and probably keep the same price tag we got back in 2020. We actually just got some listings for cases and screen protectors from verified Apple sellers so this seems like a done deal. The iPad Air is reportedly getting no design changes, but it would bring similar internals to the latest iPad mini. Meaning the new chip and 5G. The reason why I feel it might be the new Macs is because those are rumored to bring the new M2, even if I struggle to consider this as I would've assumed M2 to be announced at WWDC. And then there's the fact that the most leaked one has been the 13-inch MacBook Pro which will reportedly bring the same design as the previous model. 2ff7e9595c
